Decentralizaion is usually achieved by creaing units called divisions that can be divided into either types of goods or services, geographic lines or responsibility centres etc. Types of goods or services organized on the basis of product lines (ex: pepsico. ) Responsibility centres the top management creates areas of responsibility and assigns to subordinate managers to those areas.
