Organizations must adapt to change as competition evolve in markets from fragmented and fast-growing to concentrated and declining. Organizations, to compete effectively, must continually create new and better methods of serving customers: technological changes. Technology has changed the economy in a fundamental way, promising a golden future of rapid growth, low unemployment and inflation, perpetual economic expansion, and a booming stock market.
