The government of canada is organized into three levels: federal, provincial/territorial, and municipal. The federal level of government is the highest level of government and applies to all. The provincial level of government is more regional in nature and only afects those ciizens and residents who reside in a paricular province. Provincial responsibiliies include highways, transportaion, educaion, and health care. Since each provincial government is a separate and unique jurisdicion, provinces can have laws and regulaions that difer from other provinces. The municipal level of government is the lowest level of government. A municipal government can govern a city or a smaller community, such as a town, village, or parish. Taxes when the government is trying to control or curb an acivity.
