HRM 3430 Chapter 1: Strategic Types

13 views1 pages

Document Summary

Strategies are not idiosyncratic (peculiar, individual, individualistic, characteristic, specific, unique, personal, distinctive, typical, special, eccentric). This means of every organization/business/company has their own. When an organization develops a strategy it is custom made for them. It is made specifically for them, the strategy is for the sole use of them. It is not something general or widespread that can apply for all. It is specific and individually formulated exactly for that organization. The strategic goals of every business/company differ from the next. This is because every organization doesn"t want to achieve the same thing. If that is the case, then there is no freedom, no choice, no selections and variety to choose from in the marketplace if businesses all aim for the same achievement. Every organization has a different goal, purpose, function, want, need, belief. What works for one business/company may not work for another. Strategies are not one size fits all; there isn"t a catalogue list to choose from.
