(face-to-face conversations) We can"t prevent new technological inventions but we can choose to adopt it. We can in uence the rate at which new technologies are developed, an example would be laws. Society develops technology to solve problems or to make life earlier but can also change social conditions that create new problems. Manual computing has been around for years, using everything including: tablet, abacus, & mathematical. These methods are subject to errors and slower calculations.
