Money is based on racism and gender role bias and its roles that play into capitalism. Throughout the reading, mcnally illustrates that capitalism deepens racism and gender biases throughout its role to maintain its existence throughout society. Mcnally justifies his points throughout the reading while highlighting the origins of racism and quoting several historical instances where routes to racism began to arise only in ways to justify economic exploitation. I found mcnally"s reading a little confusing and hard to comprehend because it transitioned through historical topics. Although i was able to understand themes of racism clearly, i did not get a good grasp of capitalism and its take on gender role discrimination. Mcnally"s article focused on how factors fed capitalism to grow, swanson"s research of poor bashing , truly allowed me to understand the historical methods and portrayal of the status of both the rich and the poor through specific eras.
