The topic that i have chosen to discuss in my essay is the profession of teaching and it"s down falls. At a young age i was exposed to an incredible teacher who strived to make students like me, confident and knowledgeable. This inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. However at this stage there has been a decreasing demand for teachers in ontario, higher qualifications and changes in teacher"s union. With my volunteer / work experience i have come to terms that teaching is not an easy task. It requires patience, creativity and innovation of learning methods that will suit all types of learners ensuring they attain the knowledge need to proceed successfully. Certain individuals are faster in comprending and others are slower. The moment i was in kindergarten i knew that i wanted to become a teacher. Recently i started working at kuman learning center. As a kumon mentor i teach kids from preschool up to grade ten.
