Nervous system central nervous system peripheral nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) (transmits information to and from the central nervous system brain spinal cord (interprets and stores info and send orders to muscles, glands, and organs) Spinal cord: spinal cord; reflex arc neurons, afferent/sensor form senses to spinal cord, interneurons connect afferent to efferent, efferent/ motor from spinal cord to muscles, this is why we reflex fast. Vmpfc ventral medial prefrontal cortex: connects motor skills to decision making part of the brain. The brian is divided into 4 lobes: lobe a: front of the brain (frontal lobe, lobe b: temporal lobe, lobe c: parietal lobe, lobe d: back of the brain the occipital lobe. Frontal lobes: responsible for higher (complex) mental processes and decision making, also contains the motor cortex, sends muscle controls to somatic cells.
