Herzberg"s two-factor theory: determinants of job satisfaction are different from those for job dissatisfaction, motivators factors that lead to satisfaction, such as recognition, interesting work, and responsibility. Inability to adequately measure needs presents a large methodological problem: leads to flawed studies, while little research supports them in their own right, these theories have been instrumental in the development of other well-supported motivational theories. Jobs should be designed with core dimensions in mind.
