Interpretation seeking meaning beyond that of clarification. Summarization briefly covering the main points of a discussion or series of communications. Closed-ended questions basic questions that seek simply yes or no questions. Open-ended questions questions that seek more extensive thoughts, ideas, and explanations for answers.
