10 million people died because of the congo. The birth of the congo was an extremely violent time. Images showed that it is a very poor country. Young girl looks very bored and down. Houses are made of wood and blankets. She"s pregnant at the age of 12 and tells a story about what happened to her. Men & even young boys come in from across the water on boats and shoot the village people. The young girl is being forced to kill her parents (guy tells her he has to kill them and that they will suffer anyways) They line people up in a row and shoot them. They then take a bunch of people on the boats back to their island (home) When they arrive the forest, they are given shoes to put on. One man does some ritual that points the direction they should head to. They all carry ak47s with them and machetes.
