In lecture today we talked about how students sometime will resist the need to learn and that there are many reasons associated with this that can be either good or bad. Many students will refuse to learning because they can have a hard time understanding the content, it may be too hard for them, or they just don"t want to learn about it at all. Professor norris talked about the different types of resistance, which are: In lecture he also talked about how students may resist learning because of the content or the way the teacher is teaching. Resistance is misunderstood by educators and labeled as lazy and even disrespectful. But it isn"t the teacher or the student"s fault.
