Social inluence: changes in behaviour induced by the acions of others. The larger the inluencing group, the more people were swayed to join in staring at the window. We conform when we bring our behaviour in agreement with others. We comply when we change our behaviour in response to someone who has litle authority. We obey when we change our behaviour as a result of an authoritaive demand. Coercion is when you change your behaviour because you"re forced to. If you were picking your nose alone in a room and suddenly someone walks in, you would stop: tendency of humans to change their behaviour in the presence of others. If you were riding your motorcycle and another motorcycle pulled up next to you, you would likely speed up: this is social facilitaion, tendency to perform beter in front of others.
