Global history is not macro history- it is the study of globalization since 1492 (wha: different from global history. The centre for global history at the university of oxford defines global history in much the same way as the world history association. Global and world history can be the same thing. But the history of globalization, and world history are different. The term history could mean the past and the interpretation of the past. History if also a scholarly discipline, meaning that history is the study of the past. A central premise of modern historical theory and methodology is chronological, or linear time. Conditions exist that cause events, the past goes forward and it happens in order. Central to historical practice is the historical perspective, which means seeing things from the perspective of the past. Historical inquiry is pursued for its own sake. Understand the past regardless of its relationship to the presence: historical perspective.
