Document Summary

Observing reason and the scientific project; the way science deals with perception, wants to carve out the world. It brings us back to the work of consciousness. Unhappy consciousness has a gap between i and the world. In idealism the attempt to seek idealism is overcome, reason tries to grasp i in relation to the world. P. 139; previously it did not understand the world. Now it knows it is its world, new real world with a permanence which holds meaning for the individual. This is idealism, as we know, the notion of reality and the world is conscious dependent. Does not retain from objects, such that other objects are non-being. Self-consciousness is reality, or through demonstrating itself as such, through the conception of freedom. It is intuitive and counter-intuitive at the same time, seems to be incomprehensible. Hegels problem is that it is only an essertion, there is no demonstration.
