Drinking at a club (most expensive, and worst drinks) We do this cause we have a drive to socialize- to be around other people. Things" are nothing, until we apply meanings. When we attach a meaning to a thing, it becomes a symbol. We might know what something is", but we can"t know what something means" to a person. Sentimental" value: a teddy bear, a song, a trophy, a picture, a gift , other people would look at this and think its trash, but people value you thing in different ways. We cannot begin with our own assumptions of how the world works. We much begin by understanding how other people see the world. Bf skinner; to understand reality, we must exit reality: skinners box: isolate every variable, so nothing impact what affected reality, to understand reality. To dream about a king or queen symbolizes our mother or father. Travelling- the greater the distance; the bigger the challenge.
