Normal distribution is assumed for the data in spss (for hypothesis testing 1, 2, 3) Negatively skewed distributions: mean < median < mode. Standard deviation is the measure that tells you how clustered around the mean the data is. This mean there is a consistence in ratings if standard deviation is lower. This will be a big category in the final exam; you will be given the value tables. After calculating the z score, you must know which column what to look up: also you must calculate to 2 decimal points.
