Assesses tasks performed, who performs them, knowledge and skill required. Psychological - how people think about their jobs and its importance to them. Motivation to do job job performance* (ultimate goal) Job rotation - movement of people between jobs, allows workers to see different aspects of the production function. Job enlargement - results in an increase in horizontal loading. Addition of tasks to a job adds variety. Job enrichment - builds motivational factors into the job. Enriched jobs have increased authority, supervision, management, and decision- making responsibilities (vertical loading)
