Doesn"t require a lot of effort to make experiments around it. Case it is a semantic role that a specific unit has in a sentence. Explicit case, marking, which is a morphological case. There is an important intrinsic connection between the word order and the case marking in a language. English and latin are good examples because they"re opposite: english has a strict word order; latin doesn"t. Latin has a rich case system, english doesn"t. Just because you can combine words in any order, doesn"t mean every order is equally equal. The nice thing about having rich morphology is you have more freedom -> you can change things around and people won"t have trouble understanding you. You can assume when you say things like i speak. , you could assume there is morphology -> the absence of something means something (ie. 0). They analyzed the paradigm as -s and 0. S meant third person, 0 meant not third person.
