Found in nasal cavity - upper respiratory tract. Conducting zone - region where air is being transported from the outside to the respiratory zone. Respiratory zone is where gas exchange occurs at the smallest level which is the alveoli. Inside the nasal cavity we go through the naris aka nostrils. Nostrils create a space inside the nasal cavity called the vestibule. Vestibule has different epithelial tissue than the rest. Area where we have external things that come in contact therefore it creates a protective layer.
