Learning disabilities, perceptual motor disorders, physical clumsy, awkward. Such disorders include conditions such as perceptual disabilities, brain injury, minimal brain dysfunction, dyslexia, and developmental aphasia. Such terms do not include children who have learning problems that are primarily the result of visual, hearing, or motor disabilities; of mental retardation; of emotional disturbance; or of environmental, cultural, or economic disadvantages. Physicians assess (become more complicated down list: oral expression, listening comprehension, written expression, basic reading skill, reading comprehension, mathematical calculation, mathematical reasoning. Motor and learning disability why they may appear more clumsy or awkward: need to break task down into simpler components task analysis. Minimal brain damage: slight and specific impairment, eeg slightly abnormal findings. Biochemical disturbances: food colouring/flavouring historical thinking, insufficient vitamin production. Learning environment: poor teaching, lack of motivation, poor family attitudes, family difficulties. Unsure of cause parents want to know. Sometimes kids need to be older to diagnose accurately.
