The li(cid:271)eral"s (cid:272)e(cid:374)tre- point politics and platform has been seen as a key point in their ability to constantly retain government at a federal level. Over the years there has been a variety of emphases on liberalism and it has changed throughout the years: Classical liberalism: based off the ideas of a small government with minimal interference and a strong notion on personal and individual freedoms. Man is created equal. i. e. the night watch state. Economic liberalism: descendants of the classic liberal ideal but primarily focus that the state is responsible for the growth of business and economy, creating more jobs etc. They believe that the government should use public money to assist businesses/the economy.
