Take afternoon naps, highly social, develop lifelong friendship. Mother"s nurse their baby for about 5 years, such extended childhood is rare in animal kingdom: for bonobo"s this is crucial time to learn about the world. Humans share common ancestor between bonobo"s and chimpanzees: share 98% of dna. Only bonobo"s continue to live in these lush forests where they first evolved.
