Companies want to hire someone they know who has proven that they understand how the company works barrier for immigrant woman. Lesser paying jobs in society do not have this same level of complication; do not require same level of education or training little education/training required. Workers do not get a lot of benefits or perks. Posting has to be done to follow letter of the union/law. Higher levels not as many women to choose from. Maternity level = reason why women are not hired as often as men. Stereotype of woman as weak, sickly, irrational = foolish stereotype. Evidence shows that women, once hired, do as well as men; have to prove themselves more even immigrant students, mature students, have to work harder to prove themselves. Business world: view that women are prone to quitting, working only to get out of the house; none of it is true. Women best suited for boring, repetitive, domestic jobs.
