E. g. household income, size of family, age of members, in given area. Methods for organizing, displaying and describing data by using tables, graphs and summary measures to summarize data. The total amounts spent by companies on lobbying study is not drawing any inferences, decisions, or predictions. Utilizes sample data to make inference, estimates, decisions, predictions, or other generalizations about a larger set of data/ population. Includes margin of sampling error and collected a poll/ sample. An american life outlook study is making a decision about the population based on sample results is called inferential statistics.
