Sex determination occurs after 6 weeks sexual intercourse sperm stored in the epididymis moves out (ejaculation). Male and female reproductive systems have similar components: Similar in terms of symmetry: two tests, two ovaries, one uterus and one penis: different in many respects, including hormonal influences, general structure, and structure of the gametes. Similarities are present bc both the male and female systems develop from the same embryological origin, and differences in embryology for male and female reproductive anatomy are not seen until later weeks of development.
