The role of the practitioner to enter a family home and work with both the child and family towards change. The physical elements of the elements of the milieu in a family setting will be largely outside of the practitioner"s control, as it is the family"s home and they are the ones that design the environment. The emotional elements of the family milieu will almost certainly reflect a certain tension as the practitioner enters a home. To work parents and infants to enhance development progress when there are developmental delays or disabilities. The social climate of the family milieu is also dependent upon the members of the family and the nature of their relationship. The cultural element of the family milieu is also largely defined by the members of the family.
