The antibodies stay in your blood stream: this way the next time you get hit you can"t get sick (your body will kill the organism before you get sick) 2 types: active (vaccines) and passive (mother to unborn child) (transfer of antibodies) Vaccines are a little bit of the disease: so little that your body can build up antibodies before you get sick. Ro: the number of ppl infected for each original infected. Min herd immunity threshold is: 1-(1/ro) ex. Concerns re adverse effects of the vaccine.
