Industrial relations- all things unionization: study all aspects of work and employment according to the range of: Actors (anybody alive and participating- institutions, government, etc) and their interests. Industrial relations are the relationships between employees and their employers. Industrial relations are found in all countries where people work for others in paid employment: the field of ir originated in 1910"s in the us. Ir was a reactions against the waste, human suffering and social injustice associated with unrestrained profit making and employer power. Ir is the answer to massive social ill: reform movements, progressive movements, labour problem- a big social and economic problem (people are making a moral choice and are saying that this is not right, 3 revolutions. Industrial- emergence of factories and changing from handmade to machine made products: division of labour- allocation of labour, people are working on a variety of tasks, industrial revolution is aka organizational revolution. No, because the service and the person are inseparable.
