Cognitive dissonance: any incompatibility an individual might perceive between two or more attitudes or between behavior and attitudes. Example: you text anyways despite knowing it"s unsafe to text while driving, give advice to someone that you don"t take yourself (contradiction/hypocritical) Stems from personal beliefs and peer beliefs. Dispositional approach = your personal views and beliefs.
