How knowledge has been produced by people in a posiion of power - to control and manage the populaion. People in vulnerable situaions for example, or ethnic minoriies. Society and research shape each other in a very dynamic way. Each topic corresponds to each of the readings. Story is set in a future society where everything is driven by advanced eugenics. Scieniic, quanitaive paradigm - looking at observable data. Dna data, biologically gathered data - anything acquired ater birth is not really relevant, like the educaion or training that happens ater birth. Purpose of research: create a perfect populaion in perfect society - encourage reproducion of good genes, ideal genes. Conclusion: chances are lawed, make a raional choice and choose the best of the best. Ideal state: people have complete control over the kind of choices they make. Like some people excluded from the world, or made to feel bad, if they were naturally conceived.
