Document Summary
Parliament had been around since middle ages and was one of the great centers of powers and the monarch was the other great center. English king had to respect parliament and make sure it would support. Worked pretty well in general, the majority of wealthy powerful english people believed that they were being represented and taken into account by the english king. Harmony, worked reasonably smooth of course there was times of tension and see times where kings thought very highly of themselves and don"t really like consulting and making parliament happy but they still generally did it. Parliament was important and powerful and could set limits on king but the. King often had the upper hand and could and did veto laws by the parliament. King could appoint advisors and such at will without parliament approval and decided when they met.
