You remember something, your friend remembers another part. Memroies are made by binding info from before with new info interpretation: collaborative memory, info comes from senses, they are encoded. You transform what you perceive (see/feel etc. ) into memories. W/o memories you wouldn"t be you anymore. Memory is a reconstructive & collaborative process. Ability to store and retrieve information over time. Memories can change: what goes in, comes out. But that"s not what happens: you reconstruct memories, which is why they change, if you rmbr something from 14/15 youre not 14/15 anymore so youll have a different. They changed, because you"ve changed. not the only model of memory: made before brain scans, before people really knew how the brain works, encoding three basic functions. Memory palace: used by folks who like to go in memory contests, like a palace with many rooms stores information in each room and storages. Relate incoming info and relating it to what you already know.
