Suggests that studies using questionnaires becoming increasingly more common. Population - includes all of cases of interest to researcher. Sampling frame - operational definition of population of interest. Some people will not have any chance of being selected to participate. In order for inferences to be drawn, sample must be representative of population. Representative sample - represents important characteristics of sample.
