September 20th, 2017: nothing is as simple as it seems. People would be speaking their own language: it is from social interaction that we negotiate, create and change social reality. Consider music, clothing, speech, labels: through interaction we create, build, change, and maintain social order, we reproduce our social worlds, symbolic interactionism. A sociological perspective where social life is understood through interaction, meaning, and agency. It came from pragmatism: three founders **exam*, charles pierce. Harvard; primarily science and math; loved studying logic. Father of american psychology; physician; change vs choice; free will; not: bear + fear. (cid:1688)arriving at one goal is the starting point to another. The nature of reality: reality is not fixed, unchanged, and waiting to be discovered, things change and perspectives change, meaning is subjective, (cid:1688)discovering(cid:1689) a concert or beer can. We attend the same concert from different seats.
