Global perspective addresses all times and places. The bible offered a static and fixed view that reflected the casual observations of most people. How did we get to the point that we are, understanding how we got there. Models of how we came to be are called cosmologies, which are explanations about how we came to be, precedent in every human culture linked to religious beliefs. Eg. creation story about how the world came to be. The great chain of being: why the universe is the way it is, rigid hierarchy.
