Earn a point (i & ii) p 85 to 107. Inner monologue, memories, feelings, thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, plans. Can tell if something was moving, can"t see it. Part of brain responsible for movement not damaged. We are aware of the results of perceptual and action processing, we are unaware of the processing for perceptual awareness and guided actions. Spotlight, we attend to some information but ignore the rest. Inattentional blindness, not aware of what"s going on outside of our attention. Circadian rhythm: body clock, biological clock, 24 hour cycle of particular physiological processes: body temperature lower when asleep, melatonin makes you sleepy, peeks in the evening. Altered by light to reset clock: suprachiasmatic nucleus. Lost of consciousness, 5 stages: stage 1: brain waves slow, hypnagogic sensations, brief dreams with no narrative, hallucinations. Very brief and 5 10mins: stage 2: brain waves get slower. Deeper than stage 1, harder to wake up.
