Central nervous system (cns) - place where the most decisions are made. Autonomic system our body seems to work in an automatic/ reflexive way. Eg: when your arm accidentally touches a hot iron, sensory neurons spinal cord motor neurons. Somatic system take commands from the brain, our conscious self has its impact. Eg: carrying a hot casserole dish example- this is an instance where autonomic system and. Somatic system are on a battle and the somatic system overrides. Parasympathetic system when your body is relaxed, acts as a maintenance system to keep your body healthy focus on the long term survival of life. Sympathetic system system that acts fast in order to act against threats (fight mode). Also it focuses on the short term survival everything in the body goes to the muscles. Eg: when you are under stress and if you keep ignoring it, your parasympathetic system dominates over sympathetic system which ultimately makes you unhealthy.
