Document Summary
Intelligences has been defined many different ways throughout human history. Head size (referring to the circumference of the head, not the actual brain volume) Made by weird culture for weird culture. Can measure very limited intelligences (math, language, logic, etc ) Test-rest reliability over a short period of time. Infant iq doesn"t always reliably predict child/adult iq. Child and adult iq are correlated, but the correlation is lower with longer time intervals (common sense!) Iq scores have consistently risen around the world. If an iq test from 1940 were given today, the average score would likely be higher. Limits on storage space and processing speed. Flynn effect is not evident in the higher strata of iq scores or in highly developed countries. Ei is not traditionally tested by iq tests. Ability of reason about emotions and to use emotions to enhance reasoning. Individuals have different levels of emotional intelligence.
