Culture= the outcome from all the ppl making up that culture-> constructive. And culture itself shapes its members as well-> bidirectional relationship. (outgroups= also influence culture-> e. g. : their interactions w/them, past history, etc) Whichever country you feel most shaped you & experiences. Some ppl view ethnicity as stronger determinant of culture than nationality-> but depends on situation (e. g. : rwanda & division b/w the 2 ethnic groups-> even though lived in same country, very strong cultural divisions) Culture gives us common sense of symbols, methodologies, values, beliefs-> things used to look at the world-> gives us a system to interpret the world. Culture values independent goals & motives-> values standing out & personal achievement. Capitalist-> the more ppl compete, better things will be.
