How we could use a programmed reinforcer from a positive reinforcement to modify a behavior. Target behaviors wanting to increase: asking/answering questions during lecture and read chapters and attend/watch lectures. Goal: increase class participation and improve study habits. Goal is an outcome changing the target behavior will allow you to achieve the goal. Examples of positive reinforcers: bonus points, prizes, rewards, money. Have to brainstorm what the person would want that would be a positive reinforcer. Feedback: (cid:498)you answered that question correctly(cid:499), a grade. Reinforce elderly person to use a computer: recreation time. Target behavior also plays a role in what the reinforcer should be. Reinforce 20 year old guy paying his bill on time: money, points: age and gender coffee. Modeling: if you let a person watch someone enjoying the reinforcer, that so that they can increase the behavior of buying the product by giving them a sample of it.
