Discrimination when you"re buying a new car you can look at this by having four twin test takers, white male, white female, black male, black female. They need to be as closely matched on a lot of characteristics so we know that they are being discriminated against because of their race and not another factor. They go to different car lots and asking for the price of the same car, year etc. Getting all the testers to go in and ask and see what the results are. The script needs to be the same; they all need to say the exact same thing. We are establishing scientific control over our experiment. Sociologists did this study and they had men and women black and white go into different dealerships and asked for prices on same car. They found that black males were asked to pay the most amounts.
