Cognitive appraisal is important in producing emotion. But each emotion still has a unique bio-behavioral output. What goes into shaping the emotion is more complex than just the biology (nurture has a role too) Once the emotion is decided upon by the body/mind the bio-behavioral output is the same (in every instance of anger) Same as the basic emotions theory but just what causes the emotion is different. Cognitive appraisals set off bodily activations and these activations will produce specific expressions. The(cid:396)e"s (cid:374)o p(cid:396)e-determined behavioral expressive and bodily response predisposed to emotion.
