Earliest modern homo sapiens are not immediately associated with the full range of (cid:862) (cid:373)oder(cid:374) behaviour(cid:863) They are also associated with middle paleolithic stone tool types (cid:862) (cid:374)e(cid:449)(cid:863) aspe(cid:272)ts of (cid:373)aterial culture accumulate gradually ( eg elaborate bone tools, indication of art), at least in part because evidence does not preserve. Not completely clear, but genetic studies indicate not much interbreeding ( 1-4 % neanderthal. In many areas, modern human probably displaces neanderthals and other pre homo sapiens rapidly. Last neanderthals went extinct around 35 kya, within about 5 kya of spread of modern humans to europe.
