IMM250H1 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Somatic Hypermutation, Dendritic Cell, B Cell
20 views3 pages
Document Summary
For b cells, antigen receptor is on the surface of the cell. Signal 2 is cell cell contact, b cells contact effector t cells to get the signal. Na ve b cells want to interact with effector th cells. Na ve b and th cells have a relationship. B cells are professional presentation cells, but it cant act as an apc for a t cell. It has a very specialized antigen uptake mechanism. B cell has a highly focused way of taking in antigens. B cell will intake and degreade antigen to make it a peptide, anything that is protein will be broken into pepeitdes, and these peptides will be presented on the cell surface with mhc class 2. Th will recognize the mhc composition, and th has a molecule on its surface that interacts on the b cells surface.
