All human thoughts are formulated by causal mechanisms: these mechanisms could range from reasons to emotions. The discipline of psychology seeks to understand these causal mechanisms. Victor frankl: between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom. Psychology is deterministic: this discipline falls within a nexus which articulates the free-will vs determinism" conundrum. Example question: why are you here?
