There is a part of us not influenced by our personal experience, we must be born with, and are universally attached to. (this is based on his own experiences) Our desire to overcome our own personal short comes. The jian is an example of using the repression. He does not remember. (the key thing about repression is that the person does not remember, only certain therapeutic times this will brought to awareness) The repression: things that people that don"t remember. His ego is helping him to deal with the anxiety and the guilt that jian has. The awareness that the superego has about this is not ok. The ego is trying to protect the self when there is conflict. Considered the social life and covers the life span. But he believes that the sense of the ego maintains a sense of identity. The infancy stage is corresponding to as the freud"s oral stage.
