Brochure by the ontario ministry of labour (version 2015) This brochure are very broad, there are some people being excluded by this. basic rules: -overtime pay: overtime is payable after 44 hours of work in most jobs. -the overtime rate must be at least one and a half times the regular rate of pay. -minimum annual vacation (2 weeks per year of 4% of pay in lieu), some other provinces have. -nine statutory holidays: new years, family day, easter, victoria day, canada day, labor day, thanksgiving, christmas, boxing day, family day was added in 2008. In feb 2015, the ontario ministry of labour appointed two special advisors. Ministry outlined several changes that provided context for the review.
