Document Summary

On the right we can see the spinal chord ending. Thie space they use for lumbar spinal puncture. The needle pierces through dura, and arachnoid to get to subarachnoid space. They are extentions of the meningeal dural matter. They support the brain in the cranial cavity. Runs right in the midline dividing the right and left cerebral hemisphere. It also has bony attachmnts; posteriorly its anchored to internal occipital protuberance and anterior anchored to crista galli. This one divides the cerebellum into left and right hemispheres. Posteriorly is stuck to the occipital bone and anteriorly not attached to anything. Its attached to occipital bone, anterior/posterior clinoid process and temporal bone. Falx cerebri running in middle, and we see the ten. On right we see tentorium cerebelli creating a tent. Dural venous sinuses act as channels for returning blood back into the systemic.
