T/f: style-switching is easier than dialect switching because a lot of what we do when speaking dialect is unconscious. Short answer: (language) ideology and indexicality play a role in hoe language is used to unite and divide people. Using examples of either ideology or indexicality discussed in class explain/show how language has a ability to create and/or erase differences among groups.
